We w ish you a fruitful conference and e njoyable
experience here in Edmonton !

It is a pleasure to welcome all o f you!

We are delighted to be jointly sponsoring an annual meeting of
t his magnitude that brings together scientists from a wide range of
countries, societies, and botanical disciplines. We encourage you
to take the time to enjoy the depth and breadth of the science on
d isplay. As a registrant, you are invited to explore any topic you like
and attend as many talks and functions as you can fit in.

With t h e many c ontributions of our members an d the hard work of
o ur organizing committee, a great program has b een assembled, and
we wish you all th e b est with the challenge of narro wing down your
choices. This m eeting represents a marvelous o pportunity to share
ideas and build collaborations in a wide range o f disciplines that you
may not have previously considered.

For networking opportuniti es, the city of Edmon ton is within short
walking distance of t h e convention center, has do zens of restaurants
and bars for you to m eet in a fun atmosphere. As well, attendees at
ou r meetings consistently m ention in our annual post-meeting surveys
t h e importance o f field trips. Edmonton has m arvelous natural areas
t hat w ill be the focu s of a wide range of field trips - don 't miss these
o pportunities to enjoy plants and reconnect with your friends.

If there is anything we can do to make your conference more
c omfortable, please feel free to discuss your n eeds with our support
staff. Look for us at the information booth and in t he registration area
right outside the Exhibit Hall.
